1st August 2023 – Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) conducted an accreditation audit for five UTM Diploma in Engineering programmes from 1 August to 2 August 2023. ETAC is the only recognised accreditation body for engineering technology bachelor’s degree, engineering diploma and engineering technology diploma programmes offered in Malaysia. The five programmes are as follows:

1)    Diploma in Chemical Engineering

2)    Diploma in Civil Engineering

3)    Diploma in Electrical Engineering

4)    Diploma in Electronic Engineering

5)    Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

The 16 audit panels is headed by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Norazura binti Muhamad Bunnori YBrs Prof Ts Dr. Nazri bin Ali, the Chief Executive Officer of UTMSPACE and UTMSPACE management welcomed the audit panels and hopes that all five programmes are accredited for the benefit of students and industry. Prof.Ts.Dr.Abdul Latif Saleh. Pro-Vice Chancellor UTM Kuala Lumpur was also present during the closing session. He reiterated the importance of accreditation to ensure the quality of the programmes and graduates produced met the industry’s requirements. He expressed his appreciation to the panel of auditors and UTMSPACE for all the preparations made.
