Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and UTMSPACE received a courtesy visit from Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Malaysia on 5th March 2019. The delegates were led by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador in Malaysia, H.E. Mr. Ravshan Usmanov accompanied by Mr. Makhmud Makhmudov from Trade and Economic Division, Mr. Shiraz Abdullaev from Cultural, Humanitarian and Education Division and few other higher officers from the embassy.

They have paid a courtesy call to UTM Vice Chancellor’s Office and had an associating session with Yang Berbahagia Professor Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid Bin Omar and other UTM top management personnel.

At the same session, the delegates also had a chance to meet UTMSPACE management team. Both parties have taken the opportunity to discuss matters regarding Uzbekistan’s students in UTM under UTMSPACE’s management. At the moment, UTMSPACE, in particular Transnational Education Division (TNE) is planning to spread their wings to few regions in Uzbekistan including Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm. The intention is to introduce UTM and UTMSPACE educational products to local citizens, especially their youths who are interested in engineering, science and management.

At the end of the visit, there was a souvenir exchange session between H.E. Mr. Ravshan Usmanov and Yang Berbahagia Profesor Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid Bin Omar.
