12 May 2025 – A delegation from UTMSPACE visited the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT), a leading public higher education institution established in 2002 and sponsored by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government.

SZIIT is recognized as a “National High-Quality Higher Vocational School” and is part of China’s prestigious “Double High Plan” for vocational education. Notably, its engineering science discipline ranks in the top 1% globally according to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI)—a remarkable achievement, making it the first vocational institution in China to be listed in the ESI database.

During the visit, UTMSPACE identified promising opportunities for collaboration in:

               •             Advanced TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles, and Robotics

               •             Joint academic program development

               •             Student mobility and progression pathways between the two institutions

               •             Work-based learning programs tailored to industry needs

This visit marks a step forward in fostering global partnerships that support innovation, industry relevance, and educational excellence.
