UTMSPACE Strengthens Strategic Ties with UTM through Courtesy Visit to TNCAA
Johor Bahru, 21 July 2025 – UTMSPACE, the School for Professional and Continuing Education of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), UTM, on 21 July 2025.
The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Nazri bin Ali, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of UTMSPACE, accompanied by Professor Dr. Mohd Shahrizal bin Sunar, Dean of SPACE UTM, and members of the UTMSPACE senior management team. The team was warmly received by YBrs. Professor Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah binti Mat Darus, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International).
During the session, Prof. Dr. Nazri presented a comprehensive briefing on UTMSPACE and SPACE UTM, including current programme offerings, strategic initiatives, and key institutional milestones.
The presentation also highlighted UTMSPACE’s strategy to position SPACE UTM as a regional leader in accessible, industry-relevant education aligned with the national lifelong learning agenda.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed UTM’s commitment to strengthening internal integration and academic collaboration between SPACE and UTM’s faculties. She further emphasised the importance of coordinated governance to ensure academic quality and scalability.
Both parties discussed opportunities for international short courses, student and staff mobility programmes, and the expansion of hybrid education. They agreed to establish a joint task force to follow up on the proposed initiatives.
