UTMSPACE and Republic Polytechnic International Strengthen Strategic Collaboratio
17 August 2026 | 17 August 2026 | UTMSPACE is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Republic Polytechnic International. This significant milestone marks the strengthening of cross-border collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in developing future-ready talent, enhancing skills and technical expertise, and co-creating upskilling and capacity-building programmes that respond to the evolving needs of industry.
Through this strategic partnership, both institutions are committed to leveraging their respective expertise, human resources, information and other resources to support initiatives that create meaningful and mutual benefits. The collaboration also provides opportunities for knowledge and expertise exchange, the development of industry-relevant programmes, and the strengthening of professional education, technical education and lifelong learning.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr Ashley Chua, Chairman, Republic Polytechnic International; Mr Stanley Kwek, Acting Director, Office of International Relations, Republic Polytechnic; Mr Jason Tey, General Manager, Republic Polytechnic International; and Ms Edlyn Tay, Senior Executive, Office of International Relations, Republic Polytechnic.
Representing UTMSPACE were Associate Professor Dr Kamaludin bin Mohamad Yusof, Acting Dean, SPACE; Puan Zareena binti Omar, Director, Business Development; Cik Noor Azidah binti Ahmad, Acting Director of Lifelong Learning, UTMSPACE; and Encik Mohd. Noor Fairos bin Mohd. Nawawi, Manager, Centre for Advanced Technical and Vocational Education and Training, UTMSPACE.
This collaboration is expected to serve as a catalyst for further strategic initiatives aimed at developing talent, strengthening workforce competencies, and expanding learning opportunities that are aligned with industry needs at both regional and international levels.
